I named this for my artist friend Ellen McLuskey who is
a pastel painter; my photograph reminds me of a pastel she might
For some reason, the undersides of
bridges, combined with their reflections, create eyes or mouths
for me that belong to the cities in which they reside. In this
case, I see the "Mouth of Milan."
I see the buildings about to turn and
curtsy to each other as they exchange the sash -- like an Italian
Virginia Reel with a sash.
When I look at this image, I hear three
bells. In addition, I see the memory of bell sound. Can you guess which
is which and why?
When I look at the umbrellas moving in the breeze I feel my eyelashes flutter.
